Hi! My name is EJ and I am so excited you are here.
Born and bred in Texas, I'm the oldest in a family of six. From sit-down family meals every night to flipping pancakes on Saturday mornings with my brothers & sister, food has marked my life for more than just the taste. My passion stems from loved ones gathering over a meal, after a day in the kitchen with soft music for background noise.
My love for hospitality continued into college as I mastered the art of food journalism & photography for a trend-savvy hospitality firm. Throughout my college years in the Ozark mountains I brought dear friends around my table to share meals on my mom's hand-me-down purple plates- the same ones I ate all those family dinners on growing up.
I started this blog so I could to write it all down. The recipes, the stories, & elements that inspire me. I hope this can be a place where your family & friends find recipes you enjoy together- because that is the very best part of food- a reason to gather.
